Cockpit Chronograph Clock

Developed on the basis of a study by the German Army, the Type 211 and 311 onboard chronographs are equipped with a 2 MHz (frequency regulator) quartz resonator movement, which guarantees flawless precision.

Since the analog chronograph is a safety factor in the cockpit, it should be able to directly withstand extreme conditions in terms of acceleration, magnetism and temperature variations, while maintaining a high level of reliability in function and precision.

AlRCRAFT CLOCK CHRONOMETER

FOR CIVILS AND MILITARY APPLICATION

GENERAL :

The aircraft quartz clock chronograph, with integral lighting, serie 211, displays the time and measures with accuracy time intervals between 0 and 60 minutes by means of the timer and above this limit by means of the rotating bezel.

•Analogical display of the three functions :

Time of the day,

Chronometer,

Totalizer by rotating dial.

•Quartz oscillator driving movement and stepper motor.

•Two basic models are available :

TYPE 211 : Cylindrical case with square flange bezel (Standard NFL 70-110 module 57), interchangeable with most of the arrcrafr clocks chronometers in service. Installation by the front or the rear of the flight instruments panels.

TYPE 311 : Case strictly in accordance with ARlNC 408 specification for 2ATl case.

DlSPLAY – OPERATION

•TlME OF THE DAY FUNCTlON :

DlAL :

•Graduated from 1 to 12 for the hours with subdivisions for the minutes.

•As an option a sub dial for the seconds graduated every 5 seconds.

HANDS :

•Two center hands :

One for the hours

One for the minutes (4 steps per second)

• As an option with the sub dial :

One hand for the seconds also used as a permanent indication of operation.

CONTROL :

•Time setting : By means of a knob located m the left bottom corner of the case, pull and rotate as required.

•CHRONOMETER FUNCTlON (STOP WATCH) :

HANDS :

•Two center hands :

One for the minutes totalizing 59 minutes and 59 seconds at the maximum .

One for the seconds (1 step per second).

CONTROLS :

•START/STOP Chronometer : By means of a push button located in the right bottom corner of the case :

First push = starting of the chronometer

Second push = stopping of the chronometer

Third push = restarting of the chronometer from its previous stop position, for partial totalizing sequences

•RESET TO ZERO Chronometer : by means of a push botton located in the right top corner of the case :

Pushing on the button resets the two hands to zero with immediate restarting-Taylor/Flyback function.

•AUXlLlARY TlME COUNTER (ELAPSED TlME):

DlAL :

•Rotating dial graduated with 60 subdivisions enabling to measure time intervalles longer than 60 minutes.

CONTROL :

•By means of the knob located in the left bottom corner of the case, rotate the knob cw or ccw, the rotating dial rotates accordingly to the knob rotation.

The operation of the clock is powered by two lithium batteries connected in parallel :

U = 3 volts

l = 160 mAh

Batteries life : 1 year

• As an option the clock can be powered by 4 batteries alkalin manganese.

•External power supply (for optional integral lighting) :

When installed the lighting is powered by the aircraft power supply, 5 Vac or 28 Vdc :

U = 5 Vac : 6 lamps of 115 mA

U = 28 Vdc : 6 lamps of 20 mA

Electrical connection : Socket 8-3AP or other on option.
